This book, a translation from the original Spanish, started slowly and became quite a nice story. It tells the tale of a man who suffered with unrequited love for over fifty years, and finally is reunited with the love of his life.
If you’ve noticed, I’ve been reading many books translated from their original language, and books set in other eras lately. I keep trying to break this trend, but was obviously unsuccessful here too. Ah well, this was worth a read.
Rating: 3.5 stars. Not awesome, but a good story.
