Book Review: My Life in France

By: Julia Child
Rating: 4 stars

This book tells the story, in Julia’s own words, of the life she and Paul lived in France, and their lives together once they returned to the States. It was a wonderful story of how she fell in love with France, the French, and French cuisine, her life’s intersection with a career she never expected to have, her culinary adventures through school and life, and again with the unexpected, fame. Definitely worth a read if you enjoy cooking, travel, watching food shows, or voyeuring into other people’s lives.

I’ll tell you—I especially enjoyed this book after visiting the Julia Child exhibit at the Smithsonian. (Also worth a visit!)
