Book Review: 13 Little Blue Envelopes

By Maureen Johnson
Rating: 3 stars

This was an enjoyable, quick read about a young woman whose eccentric, unpredictable aunt dies unexpectedly and after her death, sends her niece on a journey of self-discovery and understanding through 13 letters, each to be opened at a specific time or place along the way. I can’t say I gained any profound insight from the book, but I did gain a profound yearning to go back to my favorite places in Europe—Italy and Paris, specifically.
