Or, what I failed to mention in my last post.

After a few years of on-again, off-again blogging, I’m back. I hope what I have to say resonates with you. I love writing, and find that it helps me make sense of life. And that’s a good thing.

Here’s what you need to know about me. I’m a mom and wife. I say yes WAY too often, and am consciously trying to say no more. I have anxiety. Clinically diagnosed…and not just occasionally. I’m a runner. Unfortunately, I also found out recently that I have early-onset arthritis in my spine…so at 36, I’m feeling a bit crunchy these days. And not in the hippy sense of the word. I work at a running store, and absolutely adore what I do and the people I work with.

Lifestyle…I’m a work in progress. We try to eat mostly whole foods, cooked from scratch. But really, I’m also a hockey mom who works 45 hours a week and volunteers another 10…with a very part-time nanny. So more often than I’d like to admit, I’ve been choosing the organic packaged option, adding veggies, and doing a lot of kitchen pretending.

My thoughts on technology…as an anxious introvert, I’m 100% good without email. Facebook too. Or twitter. Or even anything invented by Alexander Graham Bell. But I adore Instagram, and I’m on Facebook from time to time. So I suppose phones are a necessary evil in life. That said, there’s a very low likelihood of me ever returning a phone call if we can handle the issue by text. And I’m totally guilty of thinking I responded to a text or email but never actually doing it. Whoops.

I don’t really know what I want to do with my life. I’ve already tried out a few things, and am happiest where I am now. But I’m a big believer in fate, so I’m open to what the universe brings my way. I love teaching and learning about food, health, fitness, and staying healthy as a family.
