My pantry is bare! I am making a lime and honey chicken for dinner tonight (what a coincidence) with garlic and parmesan mashed potatoes and tomato soup. As for the rest of the week, I haven’t gotten that far yet.

I loved this book, and it had enough impact on me to change a few of my shopping habits. I liked her tone in the book, being informative but not judgmental.

My first go-to when I’m meal planning is our pantry–I try to figure out what I can make with what we have to cut costs first, and then I turn to the sale ads. Because I have dairy restrictions, and we don’t eat certain meats, some weeks are more of a challenge than others when we’re trying to stick to our budget. Definitely a work in progress!
