Belle Chevre Kickstarter Project

Do you remember this post, where I reviewed a few cheeses? Well, one of them was Belle Chevre. To date, it’s still our favorite chevre, and Eric and I pick some up at Earth Fare anytime we’re able. (We’ve been a little more limited in our cheese-eating since Ethan’s birth, since he has dairy sensitivity–but we’re going to be testing him in the next couple of weeks to see if it’s a cow’s milk sensitivity or a sensitivity to all dairy. Fingers are crossed we can get back to goat cheese!)

Well, Belle Chevre needs your help! They are a small goat cheese creamery in Northern Alabama. They’re woman-owned, practice sustainable farming and manufacturing, and do everything by hand. They’re looking to expand their creamery in a natural, green, and creative way–so they’ve chosen to use crowdsourcing as their funding source. This project wasn’t undertaken on a whim though–their lease is up (and not for renewal) in 2013. So they need your help (and mine) to raise the money needed to build their new creamery. My next few posts are going to be related to goat cheese–I hope you’ll try a few things, and if you’re able, give a little or give a lot!
