So…the title says it all! We’ve lived in our new house for almost nine months, and about four months ago, we finally got around to painting. Here’s proof!
Dining room with new chandelier and new wine cabinet. The paint is Sherwin-Williams, and the light blue is the primary color of the first floor–we have it in the living room, the main dining room wall, and a wall in the sunroom. The dark blue is our main dining room color (see below for more).
Rest of the dining room. Our ketubah is the only thing on the wall right now, and we’re planning to add a wedding photo (black & white) and a photo from our anniversary photo shoot this month (also black & white) on either side of it.
Detailing of the new wine cabinet. We got two cabinets–one for either side of the dining room window.
Here you can see the kitchen color. We’re planning to install a backsplash between the granite and cabinets, so I’ll post an official kitchen pic once we choose and install it. Today, you get to see Eric practicing his pizza-throwing skills.
We’re working on choosing the upstairs colors now. I’m leaning toward a calm blue-grey for our room, and a muted turquoise for both secondary bedrooms, with a yellow or green for the 4th bedroom/library. Haven’t made it to thinking about the guest bath or linen closet, and we won’t paint the upstairs storage room until we convert it into a laundry room.
